Research Interests

Erin is interested in the nature of communication between physicians, patients, and companions during a medical visit. Her current project examines the nature and effects of social hierarchy and dominance in the context of a dementia diagnostic conversation.

Erin has also worked on a project examining the reluctance of older adults to discuss finances with their families.

Prior to attending Washington University, Erin worked on a study investigating the subtle cognitive deficits caused by injuries to the cerebellum.
